"Beautiful October time in Vermont / New
Hampshire with even some sun! We had a
wonderful time and this was our second visit
after 3 years. Very comfortable, warm, and
hospitable – like a home away from home
except for the delicious ample breakfasts.
Carol & Howie, you are wonderful hosts with
a little of Howie’s singing heard free of charge.
Adios as we return to Tucson."

Room 3 & 4. What a wonderful spot. Beautiful
view, delicious breakfast, comfortable & casual
common rooms. We were so impressed! We
plan to make this a new tradition. Thanks to

"This was our first time at Carol’s & definitely
won’t be our last! We spent the long weekend
here with another couple leaf-peeping & going
to Octoberfest activities and don’t want to
leave. Carol & Howie are wonderful hosts and
the breakfasts were delicious. Carol had some
great recommendations on things to do & see
(and gives good directions when we got lost).
The room was comfy and clean and we woke
up well-rested and happy both mornings.

"For three years, we have always climbed Mt.
Ascutney coming south from northern Vermont.
We intend to do it again this year and rest
assured, we will be calling Carol and Howie
to stay with them, their great accommodations
and wonderful food this August.

"The guests from the 1st weekend of May
would like to say thanks for a great stay at
Carol's Hilltop. The room we had was great
with an amazing view and with great hosts!
And were not just saying that because they are
our Grandparents. The Breakfast was so good,
especially what I like to call 'the Bower
pancakes' covered in Vermont maple syrup.
The place is great with good accommodations
and is all around a great place to stay. We
loved every second and hope to go back soon.

"We were recommended by friends to stay here
with our 2 children. Kids had enough room to
jump around and be entertained without being
underfoot. Were we spoiled with views,
amazing sites, especially with a full moon
overhead. The snow, the stars, the moon, and
the lights from the town below, so picturesque.
Not only were the accommodations amazing
but so was the hospitality. We were greeted
with a delicious and bountiful breakfast each
morning, not to mention cheerful conversation
and genuine kindness shown to our family.
To top it off we were serenaded by Howie’s
beautiful music. Carol, Howie and the pups are
very special and loving people. We feel
blessed to have spent a short amount of time
with them and will treasure it forever. We also
drug along a sibling and his 3 children for a fun
ski weekend at Okemo and Suicide Six which
were fantastic places to visit. They were sure
we were comfortable and well fed.

weekend. Incredible scenery with exceptional
accommodations.
We were up at Ascutney Mountain Resort 21
years ago for our 5th marriage anniversary and
we haven’t been back here since. I was on the
web looking for a nice bed & breakfast and we
hit the jackpot with Carol’s. The two of us are
feeling good looking out our bedroom window
at the place that brings back earlier and

and will do so much for you to make you

while sitting on their porch is so beautiful.
